“I haven’t been a very good contact lately. I’ve been in a little slump as my freshman year comes to a close and I’m finding myself increasingly stressed and at a lack of inspiration. Another reason for my lack of uploads comes from a piece of good news - I’m illustrating a children’s book! I’m beyond excited, I didn’t think I would get an opportunity like this for another several years. The author is Lauren Strob and she is looking to release the book in the 2012 holiday season. So I’ve spent much of my free time in the past week or so beginning designs for her while juggling other homework. Luckily she’s understanding of how swamped I am here and I’ll be able to really begin the project by late May. Fortunately I have some small shoots planned for tonight and over the weekend. I’m still amazed at how rapidly my passion for photography has been growing - two years ago it was merely a side hobby and today I can’t go over a week or two without it without getting restless. I hope someday soon I can be confident enough in my work to really call myself a photographer. Anyhow, this was a quick shot I took on the train leaving Boston. I love train rides, they’re so relaxing. “
