Victor is pretty cool. 

Although much of my day was long and rather shitty, I had a chance to speak with him after class. He genuinely paid attention to my style, took time to understand my difficulties and gave solid advice, which is much more than I can say of my last drawing professor. Drawing is still my least favorite studio but I feel reassured finally knowing that I’m getting individual attention. 

We spent the entire day drawing with our eyes closed and simply made marks on the page. This is actually much more difficult than it appears. He wanted purely organic lines, and I often found myself making symmetrical compositions and repeating patterns. He continually snubbed my work until I learned to detach myself entirely. I must have done about 10 - 15 line drawings over a course of 4 hours. The top two are different points throughout my progress and the bottom picture is the final result that he was very pleased with.
